Our take
The Alienware AW3418DW is an impressive ultrawide OLED monitor. The 34-inch curved screen at 3440x1440 offers an immersive experience for games and movies. OLED's infinite contrast ratio makes blacks truly black, and the 0.1ms response time is insanely fast – no ghosting whatsoever. However, the 60Hz refresh rate is a major drawback for gaming. At this price point, you'd expect at least 120Hz. Also, the 250 cd/m² brightness is mediocre for HDR. It's a fantastic monitor for productivity and media consumption, but gamers should look elsewhere unless you're happy with 60fps.
